Switzerland-based firm Fidelis Wealth Management is "providing or promoting financial services or products" to people in the UK without the Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) authorisation.
The FCA warned individuals last week (15 November) to "avoid dealing with this firm and beware of scams". "Almost all firms and individuals must be authorised by us to carry out or promote financial services in the UK," the regulator said. "This firm is not authorised by us and may be targeting people in the UK." Furthermore, the watchdog said individuals who choose to engage with the firm will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service in case of a complaint, and they will not be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) if the firm goes out of busines...
