FOS data: ReAssure tops decumulation life & pensions complaints list

More than 300 new cases in second half of 2021

ReAssure topped the list of complaints with 326 new cases in the decumulation and life section, the latest data from the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) has shown.

Aviva Life & Pensions followed ReAssure with 321 new cases, according to the body's latest complaints data about individual businesses for the second half of 2021.  The Prudential Assurance Company and Scottish Widows were third and fourth on the list with 248 and 184 new complaints respectively. Phoenix Life followed with 161, The Royal London Insurance Society with 127, Zurich Assurance with 71 and Portal Financial Services with 61 new cases. Also in the top ten were Sunlife Assurance Company of Canada (UK) with 59 and Scottish Equitable, part of Aegon Group, with 57 new complaints....
