Aviva cuts communication pathways with advisers during Covid-19

Aviva has said it is unable to answer the phone nor accept any paperwork from advisers because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Professional Adviser has seen correspondence from the life and pensions giant to an adviser that said, because of the government's restrictions on movement and requirements to work from home, it would not be able to answer telephone calls nor accept paperwork "with immediate effect". The note said the firm had to make some "very difficult decisions around how we deliver administrative support to advisers and customers" during the Covid-19 situation while keeping its staff safe.
