FCA's Megan Butler: Gender diversity progressing but 'sector still lagging'

The financial services sector is making progress on gender diversity but "as an industry, we are lagging", Megan Butler told delegates at the Women in Investment Festival this morning.

Speaking at the inaugural festival, hosted by Professional Adviser and its sister publications Professional Pensions, InvestmentEurope and Investment Week at The Brewery in London on 3 March, the Financial Conduct Authority's executive director of supervision said the gender pay gap is primarily driven by the low number of women in senior roles.
