WH Ireland confirms takeover approach from Team

WH Ireland has confirmed it is in discussions with Team plc (Team) over a possible all-share offer that could see the two wealth managers combine.

In a market update yesterday (12 November), WH Ireland acknowledged recent media reports and said it has received a non-binding indicative proposal from Team. The approach sets out an exchange ratio of 0.195 Team shares for each WH Ireland share, though the board said there is no certainty an offer will be made. "There can be no certainty that an offer will be made, nor as to the terms of any such offer," WH Ireland said in its update.
