IFA consolidator Absolute enters market with Tatton and PE backing

Led by former CMS Wealth CEO David Carter with first deal sealed

A new independent financial advice consolidator Absolute Financial Group has launched with backing from Inflexion Private Equity and an experienced leadership team drawn from across the sector.

The group is headed by former CMS Wealth CEO David Carter and Tatton Asset Management and Perspective Financial Group founder Paul Hogarth, serving as non-executive chairman. Absolute has already exchanged contracts on its first acquisition, Absolute Financial Management, an Ashford, Kent-based IFA with £1.1bn in assets under advice. The deal remains subject to Financial Conduct Authority change-in-control approval.
