Advisers flag dip in number of clients ending protection policies

Comes amid a year of change for an increasingly smaller protection market

Over a third (36%) of advisers have seen a reduction in the number of clients who are cancelling their protection policies, according to Royal London.

Research conducted by the mutual alongside research agency Opinium last month found 36% of advisers have observed this drop in policy cancellations. Royal London pensions expert Clare Moffat said: "The last few years have been challenging for many, no matter where you may be on the ‘wealth ladder'. "The value advisers bring to a client relationship is never more important than in times of uncertainty where they can offer advice and reassurance."
