Aviva in high value protection proposition launch

Rising demand for IHT planning

Aviva has launched a high value proposition aimed at high-net-worth (HNW) clients to tackle rising demand for inheritance tax (IHT) planning.

The launch focuses on introducing joint life second event term cover; updated IHT‑related benefits; and extended life change and separation benefits for rated clients. Maximum cover limits for the proposition have been increased to over £100m and the maximum entry ages have also been raised to 85 for whole of life policies. Aviva also said clients could increase cover by up to £1m without underwriting, should IHT rules increase liabilities.
