Advisers joining from a different industry have ‘better life experiences’

The majority of industry professionals would not hesitate to employ an adviser that had entered the industry from a different one, according to a Professional Adviser poll.

The survey, which is based on responses from 29 industry professionals, found that 62% would not hesitate, whilst 17% said they would hesitate to employ someone who was previously in a different industry. A total of 14% said they are uncertain. One professional who would hire advisers from a different industry said that these people "have better life experiences" while another respondent said they already took this action two years ago.
