One in three families 'feel relieved' using the same adviser

Almost 40% found comfort in having family financial affairs in one place

A survey of advised clients found that 41% said they would feel relaxed sharing an adviser, as their family already trusted working with them.

Many felt that their family's pre-existing trust in their adviser would alleviate any concerns about sharing this professional relationship. This is according to M&G's Family Wealth Unlocked report for 2023. Meanwhile, 32% of respondents said they would "feel relieved" knowing that multiple family members with intersecting finances were using the same adviser. Furthermore, 39% of those surveyed stated that they would appreciate having all their family's financial matters consolidated in "one place" where they could review them together.
