Majority consider financial wellbeing as secondary to general planning

Less than a quarter (22%) of advisers say supporting financial wellbeing is a “core part” of their business”, research shows.

The majority (71%) of advisers view supporting financial wellbeing as a secondary part of the business in comparison with financial planning in general, according to a study by Standard Life. The study observed the behaviours of 100 advisers in the last two years. Over half (58%) of those advisers surveyed have developed services to support financial wellbeing, however.
