To demonstrate commitment to understanding client needs

In Accord has launched a new industry badge that advice firms can apply for to demonstrate they have a consistent and neutral approach to understanding and recording clients’ investment preferences.

The free, voluntary ‘Client Preference Ready' badge aims to recognise advice firms that have "embedded a structured, consistent and neutral approach" to asking clients about their investment preferences and objectives, regardless of the firm's preferred investment style or philosophy. Any firm that obtains the badge must have evidenced that it: Asks all clients about their investment preferences and objectives Records those preferences clearly and consistently Uses that information appropriately within suitability processes Applies the approach across the firm, not just with i...
