Fairstone sees portfolio management changes ahead of acquisition

Mark Woods to return to Watermark Wealth Management

Fairstone has hired fund manager Alex Odd as portfolio manager, as investment strategy officer Mark Woods steps down to return to Watermark Wealth Management before it is acquired by the firm in 2018.

Odd (pictured) will take on joint ownership of the group's portfolio management alongside Oliver Stone, who has been promoted from Fairstone group head of research after five years with the firm. Investment strategy officer Mark Woods will be stepping down from his current role to return to Watermark Wealth Management as it gears up for acquisition by Fairstone in 2018. This coincides with the appointments of Odd and Stone, who will take on the combined responsibilities with effect from 1 December.
