Positive Solutions lost 400 partners in 2010

Aegon-owned national IFA Positive Solutions, which has previously complained of the 'underhand' recruitment tactics used by its rivals, lost about 400 partners in 2010, CEO Jim Reeve says.

Although the business added some 160 partners during the same period, meaning a net loss of 240, Reeve says he "has regrets" over the exits of about 150 individuals. "There are a number of reasons why partners left," he says. "Some left because they chose to, some because they would not have fit into the new Positive Solutions model, some because of the odd misdemeanor. "Some of the actions we have taken in terms of increasing minimum standards and the past business review can also be given as a reason for people leaving."
