FSCS declares eight IFAs in default

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) today declared 15 investment firms in default - eight of which are IFAs.

The following IFA firms are on the FSCS's list: MFM Financial Limited (formerly Martin Financial Management), Talisman Financial Services Limited, SFM Wealth Management Limited, Bollington Financial Services Limited, Howard Broadley and Company, IFA Centre Limited, Liberty Financial Consultants and M Clipson t/a Eagle Financial Services. "Declaring a financial firm in default is the final part of a process in which a firm regulated by the FSA has been found by the FSCS to be unable, or likely to be unable, to pay claims against it," says the FSCS.
