The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has banned former financial adviser Daniel Leon Williams from performing regulated activities after he stole £54,000 from a client said to be in vulnerable circumstances.

Between 2019 and 2021, Williams transferred more than £54,000 of a client's money into his personal account while he acted as their financial adviser. The client was described as being "at a particularly vulnerable point in her long life" by the judge who added she was "probably as vulnerable as she had ever been". He was later convicted in February 2024 at Manchester City Magistrates' Court of seven counts of fraud by abuse of position. Williams pleaded guilty to seven counts of fraud by abuse of position.
