McKay transitioned from journalism to financial advice due to his interest in business development and entrepreneurship. Before he started his advice journey, he worked in local news and specialised in sports, eventually working as an in-house TV reporter for Celtic Football Club. McKay latterly joined Succession Wealth in 2023 as a wealth planner.
