FCA's Sacha Sadan leaves sustainable finance role to take up senior adviser position

The Financial Conduct Authority’s Sacha Sadan has announced he has left his role as director of sustainable finance to become a senior adviser at the regulator.

Posting on LinkedIn, Sadan said he will continue to report directly to the FCA's CEO, Nikhil Rathi, in the new role. "I have thoroughly enjoyed establishing and leading the sustainable finance team, and am proud of what we have achieved together," he noted. During his time as director of sustainable finance, Sadan oversaw the rollout of the regulator's Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR) in 2024, a labelling regime designed to help consumers navigate the market for sustainable investment products while improving trust and reducing the risk of greenwashing.  He also led the...
