Fund flows in the run up to the ISA deadline show little evidence of the much-heralded ‘great rotation'. There has been no full-blown re-embracing of risk, just as there are few signs of investors selling out of fixed interest. Equally, the preference for multi-asset and strategic bond funds, where the fund manager does the asset allocation thinking for investors, also remains firmly intact. However, at the margin, there are signs that investors are changing their thinking in response to the new market environment.
