You can’t put a price on good advice
One of your main challenges is that you’re paid upfront for a product your clients might not actually benefit from for another 20 years or more. You want to keep those clients for those 20 years but you can’t take their loyalty for granted – especially in our current economic climate. So what do you do?
Simple. Focus on cultivating long-term relationships with them. Probably the best way to achieve this is through ongoing advice. Many clients value good financial advice so have a clear and open conversation with them about how it could help – and how they can pay for it.
And remember, for any long-term relationship to work there needs to be something in it for everyone – and that’s just what our FPP offers.

So much investment choice
With over 120 insured funds and a self-investment option which includes Discretionary Fund Managers, access to GuestInvest and other specialist property solutions, there’s something to suit the needs and profile of most people. With all this choice, your clients will rely on your expertise even more. To reflect this higher level of advice and service we’ve put together an attractive and flexible menu of commission and charging options so you can decide with your clients which one suits both your needs.

Tailored structure
With our tailored commission and charging structure, we start with a base annual management charge (AMC) that assumes no commission is paid. This means you can offer the product to your clients on a fee basis. If you prefer, you can build a tailored charging structure around the agreed commission levels using:

  • a five-year establishment charge (EC)
  • a one-year financial adviser charge (FAC) (‘one-off’ for single contributions)
  • an additional AMC
  • a combination of an FAC and additional AMC

Actively rewarding
We actively reward clients who recognise that their pension is a long-term investment and save with us over its term. Depending on how their plan is set up they’ll get either a fund bonus or a fund value rebate. For those that don’t quite last the pace we’ll reward them proportionately, depending on their plan details.
