Attracting new clients high priority for firms

Most advisers (93%) are optimistic about the year ahead, with two-thirds (66%) stating they are primarily focused on profitably growing their businesses, latest research from ValidPath revealed.

Research from the IFA network also showed that attracting new clients remained a "central focus" for member firms, with 69% of those surveyed saying it was high on their agenda. The survey found 50% of member firms said the ability to identify, attract and retain clients was a key factor "impacting the outlook for their business and the wider advice sector, demonstrating the importance of lead generation".   Some 92% said referrals from existing clients were the primary means of growing client books.
