Wren Sterling doubles Scottish footprint with City Financial acquisition

Deal adds £700m in assets and over 6,000 clients as firm continues acquisition streak

Wren Sterling has expanded its presence in Scotland through the acquisition of City Financial (Aberdeen) Ltd, a financial advice firm operating across Aberdeen, Ellon and Inverness.

The acquisition brings more than 6,000 clients and £700m in assets under management (AUM) into the Wren Sterling group, raising its total AUM to approximately £11bn. It also marks a doubling of the firm's footprint in Scotland, as Wren Sterling continues its push for national scale. City Financial adds to Wren Sterling's list of acquisitions in 2025, following earlier deals as part of its ongoing buy-and-build strategy.
