UK and IoM to 'explore' ways to combat tax avoidance

Ministers met on Tuesday to discuss crackdown

The UK and Isle of Man have agreed to “explore” more ways to crack down on marketed tax avoidance schemes.

Exchequer to the Treasury James Murray and Isle of Man Treasury minister Dr Alex Allinson held a virtual meeting yesterday (27 May) to discuss further collaboration on a tax avoidance and evasion crackdown. It is expected that this could include improving on the flow of information between the two jurisdictions, as well as methods of joint working and other options.
