'Surely we're capable enough of doing it ourselves': Industry says protection should be in-house

Majority believe IFAs and wealth managers should not outsource, PA Asks finds

The majority (49%) of respondents to a Professional Adviser poll believe that IFAs and wealth managers should not outsource their protection services.

In last week's survey, we asked if IFAs and wealth managers should outsource protection, with the result from most being no, with 49% out of our 39 respondents.     A pundit who said yes said: "Protection is not a product area I advise on much and therefore do not have the up-to-date knowledge on the providers." "Where medicals are required, it is both timesaving and disruptive. It usually costs an IFA £s," another said.
