Majority of under-35s see value in financial advice

Majority recognise benefits of financial advice but are struggling to find it

More than half (52%) of those under 35 can see the benefit of accessing professional financial advice - which is higher than for any other age group, according to a survey from Canada Life.

Its Life100+ Report, which was published today (15 October), showed that despite under 35s seeing the benefits of advice, four in ten (42% – the highest of any age group) do not know where to turn for advice. The provider suggested that there needed to be better access to information and reassurance. Under a quarter (23%) have used an IFA. The propensity to use professional advice, and an IFA specifically, closely correlates with age: those 55 years and over are more likely to use both than the under 55 age groups.
