Financial planning is 'flawed' without lifestyle coaching

Kerry Drysdale emphasises the importance of goals-based planning

Advisers should offer lifestyle coaching as part of their financial planning process as it is “an effective route to exceptional client engagement”, according to Technical Connection.

Head of holistic planning Kerry Drysdale told delegates at TechLink Live today (5 July) that advisers should incorporate ‘goals-based planning' into their advice process. Drysdale explained that goals-based planning includes financial advice, financial planning, and lifestyle coaching. She emphasised the significance of lifestyle coaching as it helps achieve "a much more intimate understanding" of clients' goals.
