The growth in propositions for proprietary software and adviser-run platforms has been a symptom of the frustration in the lack in innovation in the space, adviser delegates heard yesterday (5 October).
Speaking at a panel on the future of platforms at PA360 North, Parmenion chief commercial officer Mike Morrow talked about a suboptimal experience with FNZ Wealth platform in his last business. "The frustration was that there was just no innovation coming. It was vanilla, beyond vanilla. And the bits of innovation that were being asked for by the advisers were so diluted whenever you took that across the multiple waterfronts which a business like FNZ operate, that it just never got delivered," he said.
