Ascot Lloyd appoints chief marketing officer

Advice business Ascot Lloyd has appointed Simon Vella as chief marketing officer (CMO) as it expands following its acquisition by private equity backers last month.

In this new role, effective from 7 June, Vella will lead the marketing function, developing all aspects of Ascot Lloyd's branding and internal and external communications to drive lead generation and optimise client retention. He will also be responsible for building out Ascot Lloyd's "on demand" telephone-based advice offering, with emphasis on digital servicing as well a direct, non-advised investment offering to coincide with its growth plans.
