FCA appoints two new executives

Merging two divisions

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has appointed Sheldon Mills as its new executive director of consumers and competition and Siobhan Sheridan as chief people officer.

The position for executive director, consumers and competition was created in November when the FCA revealed that two existing supervision divisions would be brought together and merged with the policy and competition functions. These will now form a single division led by two executive directors. One will focus on the FCA's consumer protection and competition objectives and the other will work on protecting the financial markets.
