Aviva joins Quilter and SJP in offering abridged advice on DB transfers

The Aviva Financial Advice service is offering abridged advice support for people who need guidance about their defined benefit (DB) pensions, joining Quilter and SJP.

In recent months, many firms have given up their DB transfer permissions or lost them due to unsuitable advice. Issues with DB transfers specifically have come to the fore with the British Steel saga and now the potential issues facing Rolls Royce pension scheme members. Now, it seems firms are offering support to those who are considering making a transfer before they seek advice.
