In this week’s episode of The Pro Adviser Podcast, in association with Architas, Hannah Godfrey talks to Laura Robinson, a solicitor at Clarke Willmott, who has been working closely with steelworkers trying to obtain compensation after they were poorly advised.
Robinson, along with other solicitors at Clarke Willmott, is acting for around 500 steelworkers against financial advisers who delivered poor defined benefit (DB) transfer advice. So far the law firm has taken action against 85 different adviser firms, although Robinson still believes the steelworker saga is only just beginning, as she points out there are potentially thousands more steelworkers who have not yet taken action and may have been poorly advised.
