FCA 'misses the point by 4,000 miles' on client fact finds and PI cover - IFA

Advisers have given their thoughts on the regulator's comments on good client fact finds and their impact on renewing professional indemnity (PI) cover.

Earlier this week (5 February), FCA director of life insurance and financial advice supervision Debbie Gupta told delegates at the annual Dynamic Planner Conference that a good client fact will make it easier for advisers to renew their PI cover. She said the FCA wanted to see more of firms transform their relationship with clients and be able to evidence how they have done so.
