Informed Choice managing director and Chartered financial planner Martin Bamford is stepping away from the world of advice to focus on his new business venture, Bamford Media.

Shelley McCarthy is replacing Bamford as managing director of the Cranleigh-based IFA firm, while Bamford will become director of client education with responsibility for investment research and marketing. McCarthy will be the first non-family member to hold the role at the family firm. As part of the change in roles, Bamford (pictured) will hand over responsibility of his remaining portfolio of clients and focus on the growth of his creative agency Bamford Media, which was founded in 2017.
