MP urges firms to go 'further and faster' for diversity in senior roles

Financial services firms must go "further and faster" towards greater female representation at senior levels, MP John Glen has said, as he called the current gender balance "an injustice that needs to be put right".

Addressing delegates at the HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter's annual review event, the MP for Salisbury (pictured) said more than 300 organisations representing 18,000 employees had now signed up to the charter.  The Charter is a Treasury initiative designed to improve equality within the financial sector. Launched in 2016, the likes of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, Personal Investment Management & Financial Advice Association and Sesame Bankhall Group have signed up so far.
