'Family mindset' key to cross-generational client retention

"Getting the family to think as a family" was one of the many tips for advisers and wealth managers to emerge from today's Professional Adviser/Investment Week webinar on retaining clients across the generations.

"When we first speak to them, a lot of millennials do not perceive they need any wealth management because they do not perceive they have any wealth to manage," explained St James's Place head of overseas client development Colin Nelson.   "Actually they do - but it is sitting within the family pot, not within their own pot.
