Recently appointed Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) chair Charles Randell has admitted he invested in the Ingenious Film schemes from 2006 to 2011.
Treasury Committee chair MP Nicky Morgan asked permanent secretary Sir Tom Scholar to contact Randell and ask if the panel responsible for his selection knew about his membership of the controversial tax scheme Ingenious Film Partners 2 LLP. Randell was appointed chair of the regulator at the turn of the year but does not start the role until 1 April.
