CISI-IFP merger: Adviser criticism resurfaces after CPD dispute

‘Another nail in the coffin’

The success of the CISI and IFP merger has been called into question yet again after an adviser made public his grievances about the professional body's CPD auditing process.

Landmark Financial Planning chartered financial planner Eric Mowinski said he was concerned the culture and knowledge of financial planning no longer existed in the merged body. He said he was particularly unhappy about the lack of regional financial planning-focused events and support for members of the former Institute of Financial Planning (IFP). "From a financial planner perspective, in the Manchester area there's been very little offered in the way of events and CPD.
