LV= loses MD as group restructures

Three businesses merged into one

LV= managing director Myles Rix has left the business after no job offer was made to him following the restructure of the life business.

The insurer has restructured its life business to bring its protection, retirement solutions and heritage businesses under one management. As a result, current managing director of LV= retirement solutions and heritage businesses John Perks has been promoted to managing director of the life business, and will report directly to group chief executive Richard Rowney. Rix (pictured) was not offered an alternative role at the insurer. LV= said he chose to leave the business. The change in structure and management will be effective from 1 July.
