Simple CI plans will help grow the protection market - survey

'Sometimes less is more' - Protection Review

Almost three-fifths (57%) of protection experts believe simple critical illness (CI) plans such as AIG's Key3 will grow the protection market, according to a poll by Protection Review.

The survey, which took in views from across the protection industry, including intermediaries, insurers and reinsurers, found just over a fifth (21%) disagreed that such plans would grow the market. A further fifth (22%) were unsure. AIG Life launched its simple critical illness plan, Key 3, in August.
