Former FOS chief Ceeney joins HSBC

The former chief executive of the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), Natalie Ceeney, has joined HSBC bank to head up its UK customer standards department.

Ceeney (pictured) will sit on the bank's UK executive committee and has been tasked with improving customer service and leadership on complaint handling, and developing the bank's approach to conduct risk. Ceeney left the FOS in mid-November last year after more than four years in office. However, an HSBC spokesman said the bank had not been in talks with her at the time. He said: "[Ceeney] left the FOS before we approached her, she had her own reasons for leaving." In her new role, Ceeney will report to Antonio Simoes, HSBC head of UK & retail banking and wealth management Europe....
