Congratulations! IFP announces award winners

The Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) has announced this year's winners of its three main awards, which include the new paraplanner of the year award and the inaugural accredited financial planning firm of the year.

The institute presented the awards at its 26th annual conference in Newport today. Eldon Financial Planning's Gemma Siddle was crowned paraplanner of the year, after the four-strong judging panel, made up of IFP CEO Steve Gazzard, Parmenion head of corporate relationships Patrick Ingram, The Paraplanners' Richard Allum and Paragon's Martin Vaughan, found her entry submission "outstanding". They said she "narrowly beat" the other shortlisted candidates.  Gazzard said: "Our congratulations go to Gemma whose submission was outstanding across technical assessment, reference and essay. ...
