FCA appoints former Lloyds board member as senior adviser

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has appointed a former member of the Lloyds TSB Retail Banking board as senior adviser on consumer lending.

The regulator appointed David Gagie (pictured) while preparing for its new role of consumer credit regulator, which it will assume next year. Gagie, who was responsible for consumer lending, cards and current account businesses at Lloyds, also held board-level roles at Mastercard UK & Europe and, until recently, he was a non-executive director on the ING Direct UK advisory board. He is currently a non-executive director of Payzone Group, a founder/director of PaySwyft and MyWorkSearch and is advising Itemize Corp.
