Zurich chief financial officer quits

The chief financial officer of life insurer Zurich has quit after 16 years at the firm.

Dan Pender was appointed as CFO of UK Life in February 2011 following a two and a half-year stint as chief actuary at the firm. Zurich head of financial reporting Neil Evans has taken over as interim CFO until a new CFO is found. A Zurich spokesperson said: "We can confirm that Dan Pender has left Zurich to pursue other opportunities. Zurich would like to thank Dan for his dedication and support during his 16 years at Zurich, and wish him every success in the future."
