Financial Services Consumer Panel seeks £60k a year chair

The Financial Services Consumer Panel (FSCP), which is set up to represent consumers in the financial sector, is advertising for a new chairperson with an annual salary of £60,000.

The FSCP is set up and paid for by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), though it is independent of the regulator. It gives advice to the FSA and the government on consumer issues, helping to shape financial services regulation, and will continue under the incoming Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The incoming chair of the panel will be formally required to work two and a half to three days a week, though will need to be "flexible".
