Canada Life and IPTF target GIP growth with adviser seminars

Canada Life and the Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) are launching a series of free seminars for advisers aimed at growing the group income protection (GIP) market.

The first event will be held 2 November at Gen Re's offices in the Corn Exchange in London with speakers including Colin Micklewright, head of GIP business development at Canada Life, and Elliott Silk, GIP specialist and IFA. Subjects to be covered include: • sickness and absence in the UK; • welfare reform and other legislative impacts and opportunities; • barriers to the sale of GIP; • insurers' added value services; • scheme design (costs and options); • claims and the view from an expert IFA in GIP.
