Just Retirement hits record £1bn sales

Just Retirement generated record new business in the 12 months to June, exceeding the £1bn mark for the first time.

The annuity specialist reported sales of just over £1bn for the year, up 33% from £753.7m in 2009. In the three months to June, sales were up 21% at £283.2m, compared to £234.9 for the same period in 2009. Just Retirement' s equity release product boosted its performance, with quarterly sales exceeding £60m for the first time to hit £66.5m. This compares to £43.7m for the three months to June 2009 which is an increase of 52%.
