Origen agrees introducer deal in new business hunt

Aegon-owned Origen says it sees solicitors as the "gatekeepers" to new business after entering a strategic partnership with legal network LawNet.

The national IFA, which let go 22 of its "poorer-performing" advisers in October, says both companies will benefit by the introduction of clients in need of financial planning or legal support. LawNet represents 65 independent law firms, ranging in size from six to 39 partners, across the UK and Ireland. "We see solicitors and accountants as the gatekeepers to new business," Origen head of professional connections development Chris Holmes says.
