Demand for female advisers grows

Women will play an increasingly important part in delivering financial advice - a profession in which they are heavily outnumbered by their male counterparts, predicts IFA Almary Green.

The growing demand for female advisers is being driven by social changes resulting in more women seeking financial help. As they are likely to favour being advised by a fellow female, demand for financial planning services "for women, by women" will rise, Almary Green says. Almary managing director Carl Lamb says: "There are clearly areas such as divorce in which we specialise, where women are actively seeking advice on their own terms.
