Abandon hope RDR will not happen - FSA

The FSA today told advisers and providers: there is no hope the RDR will not happen.

Speaking at the launch of AIFA's FFWD Online Business Transition Academy, FSA director of conduct policy Sheila Nicoll said: "I know there are still some who hope this [RDR] will not happen, but I must stress the FSA is committed to maintaining momentum and delivering against our objectives." Nicoll also reiterated proposals in the review equate to the "effective banning" of commission. "Advice comes at a cost," she said.
