Clive Hale rides into NYC after 22,000-mile trip

Former Skandia CIO Clive Hale is near to completing his 22,000-mile round-the-world motorbike ride to raise cash for charity.

"I am sending this message tonight as I don't expect to be sober for a day or three," he said on his online diary yesterday. "The day after we arrive is the 250th anniversary of the founding of Guinness, so we may have to find an Irish bar in New York." Hale, a senior investment consultant at Towry Law until last year, has so far traveled through 20 countries during the trip, which began in May. He is bidding to raise cash for charity SOS Children.
